Umlilo Lodge is a 4 star guest house situated in the small village of St Lucia, the only private village in the world to be completely surrounded by a World Heritage Site.
Our tropical treehouse-inspired lodge offers 13 cozy en-suite guest rooms, providing a peaceful retreat.
Guests can unwind on the wooden deck by the pool, enjoy complimentary WiFi, or relax in our bar lounge, featuring an honesty bar and full Digital Satellite Television (DSTV), all surrounded by a serene fishpond.
From 07:30 to 09:30, indulge in a delicious and nutritious breakfast, offering both English and continental options, including fresh fruit, assorted yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, and more.
If you’re heading out early, we’re happy to prepare a packed breakfast for you the night before. Plus, complimentary coffee and tea are always available in the guest rooms.

First impression is walking into a steaming jungle with palms ferns and many other tropical plants. There is a bubbling stream running through at the property containing non tropical Koi. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom. Air conditioning very efficient. We had 2 home cooked afrikaans meals Bobotie and Potjie which were both delicious. We had our laundry done the same day. Laurence and his staff were never less than friendly and welcoming. 6 star rating if possible. Well worth a visit.
